In an innovative move to transform access to community healthcare, Côte d'Ivoire recently took a crucial step forward with the rollout of the mHealth CI platform, developed by TICANALYSE. To ensure the success and effectiveness of this initiative, TICANALYSE has implemented a robust training programme designed to create a body of mHealth experts capable of deploying, supporting and optimising the use of the solution across the country.
A Certified Training Programme

The training provided by TICANALYSE is not just an introduction to using the mHealth platform; it is designed to enable participants to acquire advanced skills, preparing them to train end users in turn. This certification training process creates a cascade of knowledge, which is essential for the adoption and adaptation of technology in everyday healthcare practices.
Multifaceted Training Objectives
The objectives of this training were multiple: to enrich participants' technical knowledge of mHealth, to explain the usefulness and functioning of each module, and above all, to teach pedagogical methodologies for effectively training end users. In addition, this training enabled participants to identify additional functional requirements for mHealth and to develop skills to assist users in resolving minor problems encountered in the field.
Creation of a Community of Experts

The trained experts have formed a community, committing to follow a strict code of ethics while remaining in constant contact with the TICANALYSE team. This ongoing interaction ensures that feedback from the field is used to continuously improve the services offered by the mHealth platform.
Teaching Materials and Recognition
During their training, the experts developed a detailed manual that guides future trainers through all phases of the training: before, during, and after the sessions. This manual is designed to ensure consistent quality and comprehensive coverage when training new users.
Certification and Innovative Equipment
Upon completion of their training, each expert was added to the official mHealth Experts database, marking their recognition as certified professionals. To facilitate their identification and secure their access to digital health systems, each expert received a comprehensive kit. This kit includes not only promotional tools such as a kakemono, a bag, and a notebook, but also advanced technological tools:

NFC card: Each expert received a card equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, containing their unique mHealth Expert ID. This card enables quick and secure identification, facilitating access to mHealth systems and platforms during their field interventions.

Training Certificate: Certificates, which attest to their competence and commitment to healthcare digitalisation, will be awarded to experts after they have successfully completed training courses for end users, thereby validating their ability to effectively convey the knowledge they have acquired.

These tools not only enhance the functionality and effectiveness of experts in their roles as trainers and support staff, but also ensure that the integrity and security of the digital health system are maintained, guaranteeing that only authorised and trained users can access and handle sensitive health data.
With these new mHealth experts, Côte d'Ivoire is positioning itself at the forefront of digital health in Africa. This training programme exemplifies how a well-designed initiative can not only improve access to healthcare but also create a sustainable knowledge infrastructure that will support the continued development of digital health in the country.
