{"id":2621,"date":"2022-05-13T08:39:15","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T08:39:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mhealth-africa.org\/?p=2621"},"modified":"2025-12-15T15:21:57","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T15:21:57","slug":"le-niger-adopte-la-version-superapp-de-mhealth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mhealth-africa.org\/en\/actualites\/le-niger-adopte-la-version-superapp-de-mhealth\/","title":{"rendered":"Niger adopts the Super-App version of mHealth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Designed and developed by the IT engineering company TICANALYSE, mHealth is a health intelligence platform that enables the integrated management of community health information through the collection, encryption, transmission, processing, analysis, visualisation and sharing of data for better decision-making and greater efficiency in the healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of deploying mHealth was to improve the quality of care for children within the framework of Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses at Community Level (IMCI-C) and to contribute to obtaining high-quality community health data for better decision-making and planning in the field of community health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its creation in 2014, the mHealth system has undergone 3 developments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/tqylae9a-66Xw449WThlI7fm-Rbc1BuwZPoMoLIHn-xEyYLjkgloYj_TWFXPUZi8cJlUQzz_VC7HDoIvWyZ1hHZXuI4o41xeVBuv2X9t-IXnvXnNsgn_Gkh8gLYlPW5LX8uik627bJv-EdWsqQ\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the first setting (2014), data was transmitted via basic SMS services. The community health worker received a question and transmitted the answers by SMS. He could only transmit data from reports...&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The second version (2016) saw the deployment of the system's Java J2E application on agents' phones. This version still only took into account reports and data entered into the application, which was responsible for transmitting them to the central system.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To keep pace with technological developments and improve collection, an Android version was released in 2019. This version on Android smartphones enabled direct support (PCIME and PSBI). The central server was responsible for reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2022, the system has entered a new phase in its development. It has become a monitoring and steering system for community health. A Super App is a mobile application that integrates other applications to provide access to a whole ecosystem of services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>mHealth now offers :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>L&rsquo;enr\u00f4lement des unit\u00e9s d\u2019organisation (agent communautaire, ICP, District)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The location of the community agent's area of intervention,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of children aged 2-59 months (PCIME) with a control algorithm,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PSBI data entry for children aged 0-59 days,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring references and counter-references,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring the stock and replenishment of inputs,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring children's vaccination status,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appointment scheduling and reminders,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registering and monitoring cohorts of pregnant women for the ANC,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration and monitoring of births and newborns for vaccination,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring the civil registration of newborn babies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The census of children under 5 years of age.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community death alerts (maternal and neonatal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disease alerts (signs of meningitis, measles, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gradual notification of organisational units and patients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data entry of educational talks by PFE,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data entry for ANJE support group meetings,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The \"mHealth\" system started up in Niger in 2018 in the Ill\u00e9la health district in the Tahoua Region and in 2021 in the Mayahi health district in the Maradi Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a workshop held from 28 March to 1 April in Libor\u00e9 (Kollo Department), Niger's Community Health Directorate adopted this new version of mHealth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of the Department of Community Health (DSC), with the support of the DSME, the Department of Statistics (PEC) and the NMCP, an extension of the deployment of mHealth is planned for 2022 in the health districts of Dakoro, Bagaroua, Abalak, Boboye and Malbaza, with an update of the equipment and skills of those involved in implementation at peripheral level (MCDs, CSEs, Heads of CSIs and RCom) in the districts of Ill\u00e9la and Mayahi.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Con\u00e7u et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie informatique TICANALYSE, mHealth est une plateforme d\u2019intelligence sanitaire qui permet la gestion int\u00e9gr\u00e9e de l\u2019information sanitaire communautaire \u00e0 travers la collecte, le cryptage, la transmission, le traitement, l\u2019analyse, la visualisation et le partage des donn\u00e9es pour une meilleure prise de d\u00e9cision et une efficacit\u00e9 accrue du syst\u00e8me de [&hellip;]<\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3356,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[63],"tags":[94],"class_list":["post-2621","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-actualites","tag-niger"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Le Niger adopte la version Super-App de mHealth - Plateforme de digitalisation de sant\u00e9 communautaire<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"M-Health Africa \u00e9tend sa technologie de pointe au Niger avec la version SuperApp pour am\u00e9liorer la sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique en Afrique.
